    Here at Blackboards we love speed and we manufacture a range of different sized carbon fibre surfboard fins, that have been designed for speed and perfomance.  All our fins have a PVC Divinacell core to give it bouyancy and to allow a small amount of flex at the tip, something you wont find in solid glass or plastic fins, the benefit of this  core means your fins will float!  We realise that there are large numbers of fins on the market and this means that you might want a fin shape or size that we dont have.  If this is the case we can supply fins from the Shapers range, we recomend their carbon stealth series.

    BCL

    The BCL is our smallest carbon fibre surfboard fin.  It was designed for use as smaller rail fins for a looser ride as a thruster set up but still with enough bite to get you through those power turns.  We also recommend this fin as a trail fin when a quad set up is desired. (FCS compatible) this is an asymetrical fin with a foil that complements the leading and trailing edges to provide a small amount of lift in the turns without increasing the drag

    BC5

    The BC5 is our medium-sized fin for use as a good all round fin. (FCS compatible) This fin comes in both symetrical and asymetrical foils
    The symetrical foil is used for the centre fin in a thruster set up, the foil for this fin is thinner than the asymetrical side fins and this means it is much faster than a wider foil, this ability to handle faster speeds means we have chosen a 33° swept angle to move the centre of the fin towards the back of the board, which increases drive and hold all the way through the turn .The asymretrical side fins have a normal sized foil which gives the lift needed when transitioning from rail to rail, this combination in these fins will provide speed when you need it.Just make sure you have a carbon fibre surfboard to go with these fins.

    BC6

    The BC6 fin is used for more drive when required  for bigger days. (FCS compatible) This fin is a slightly larger version of the BC5 it also has the same perfomance as its younger brother ,it has one difference in the tip ,the trailing edge has a slight flat line to it and this line is there to reduce drag that is common in larger fins. The use of carbon fibre in these fins increases the perfomance of the fin and in turn increases the perfomance of the surfboard ,it would be a shame not to have a carbon fibre surfboard to go with it ,thes fins work well with our 6’5″ and6’6″ high performance shortboards

    BCkeel (Fixed)

    The BCkeel fin is for the twin fin set up, best suited on our 5’11” 2S fish. These fins are the engine room of the the 2S fish they give down the line speed that you wont have experienced on a fish board before.They can be set up with or without toe in .If you like the look of carbon fibre on these fins then you will love it on a fast carbon fibre surfboard.

    BC cutaway 8”

    The BC cutaway 8” fin is for the long board series, it fits in a 9″ centre fin box.This fin has the prominant cut away designed to reduce the turning arc of the longboard it also has an obvious flat line at the tip on the trailing edge ,this flat reduces the drag that large fins have ,we have also increased the amount of area at the front of the fin and reduced the amount behind the centre of the fin to bring the centre of the fin forward ,this has the benefit of a quicker turn without losing drive or speed ,and the centre fin box that is used with this fin lets you move the fin forward or back to change the turning arc of the surfboard ,all these benefits in this fin mean you can perform like you would expect on a carbon fibre surfboard
